Yes, eventually. It may not happen for a while. However, the grease and oil tend to stick to the sides of the drain pipe and accumulate. Scraps of food that go down the drain are getting stuck to the oil and grease as well, so it’s just a matter of time before it clogs.

It’s best to not allow any grease, oil, or fat into your kitchen sink drain, whether at your home or business. We recommend pouring any excess oil, grease, and fat into a jar for disposal.

We recommend that you do not plunge the drain, as the force used while plunging is known to cause unnecessary leaks in the pipes. We have the proper tools, equipment, and techniques to clean the drain line quickly and thoroughly.

We don’t advise you to use any harsh drain cleaner chemicals, either. Some of them can damage your pipes, which then leads to a more costly repair than just having a stopped-up drain. Also, the fumes can be harmful for you to smell, and sometimes we don’t think about the harm it is doing to our pets.

Should it be that your drain is already clogged, don’t hesitate to call us to clear the clog from your kitchen sink drain. Florida Rooter is the drain cleaner you need, providing the quality service you deserve! (352) 302-1311
